I found a program that helps keep me in the word - Text aloud. It converts text to speech (very natural, too - the AT&T Michael Natural voice). I then make an mp3 and listen on my player during the day. There's nothing like reading the Word, but this helps when you're on the run!
I find relevance even in the OT. For istance, Jeremiah 1:5 tells me all I need to know about when life begins.
Just my thoughts!

Thanks for visiting Paul.

I appreciate the encouragement and it is true, parts of Leviticus and Numbers are pretty tough reading.

Hi Glen,

Nice article. We at OurChurch.Com also offer an email subscription where people can read the Old Testament and New Testament in a year, either separately or at the same time, by having passages automatically emailed to them each day.

I know a lot of people who have tried to read the Bible straight through and got frustrated and gave up somewhere in Leviticus or Numbers, so I've always advocated reading some NT and some OT each day.
